Ongoing work for this church in the historic district of Concord, MA has included the installation of an ADA lift in an existing stairway, leaving the historic sanctuary and exterior intact.  Renovations to the multi-purpose room on the ground level involved removing the accoustical celiling and lighting shown in the "before" picture below.

Accoustical banners punctuated by fluorescent strips compliment the high trussed ceiling.  The banners, sand carpet with flecks of bright color, and desert sky walls recall the landscape and nomadic tents of Biblical times.  Historic maps line the walls. 

On the boards is a study for the side entry and landscaping to make the church feel more open and welcoming to the public.
